Over The Top Christmas Lights
2015 Behind the Scenes - Net Light Trees

A 24" square board was used as a platform in which an 18" diameter circle was drawn. Doing some math it was found an upright was needed every 9 3/8" approximately. A string was cut that size and was ran around the circumference marking a line at the end of the string. This gave six uprights spaced evenly. A hole was drilled large enough that the rebar would fit at an angle in each hole.

For the tree itself 6 - 37 1/8" 3/8" rebar (used for the uprights), 6 - 4" 3/8" rebar (used for the upper brace), 6 - 8" 3/8" rebar (used for the bottom brace), 2 - spray cans flat black paint, 4" zip ties (for the lights) were used.

Weld as seen in pictures. The uprights should be first then the upper brace then lower brace last. Clean and paint. Using 4" zip ties attach lights to tree.
